“I think I’m finally brave enough to try baking gluten free.”
I looked up from the prep I was doing my my upcoming cooking demonstration to find a young mom, with three young children clustered around, standing in front of me.
She continued, “We’ve been gluten free for a year but I’ve never tried to bake. It seems so complicated. But, I’m really tired of  buying packaged GF food and  I’m ready to give baking a try. What do I need to know to get it right?”
Honestly, she was not the first person that day to admit that she was afraid to bake gluten free. Everyone wanted to know how to start baking gluten free and not go through all of the failed recipes that they’d read about on blogs and heard about from friends.
Thankfully, the secret to successful gluten free baking is easy
Follow great recipes exactly.
Sounds simple enough, right? Â Not exactly.
To follow a recipe exactly you need to:
- use the same ingredients –
- use the same amount of ingredients
- and then use the right techniques
Which brings us to the 3 problems that every gluten free baker faces:
Most gluten free recipes do not tell you how to substitute for other food intolerances.
Most gluten free recipes do not give the ingredient amounts in weights.
Most written recipe instructions are notoriously hard to follow, especially for the novice baker.
My online cooking classes solve all three of these problems.
1. all fifteen classes include information for substitutions and explain why some substitutions work and others don’t
2. ingredient measurements are given by weight
3. all classes include videos of me baking the recipe so you can SEE exactly how to do everything that’s in the written instructions.
And that’s not to mention that the classes are filled with all of the delicious recipes that your family has been missing, like sandwich bread, and chocolate cake, and deep dish pizza, and bagels, and many, many more.
But, that’s not all.
I’m going to make it even easier for you to bake gluten free.
For the next 10 days only, you can get:
ALL 15 gluten free baking/cooking classes
including
52 recipes,
33 videos,
& 26 how-to articles
plus, these two bonus gifts
the EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale
& the Polder Digital In-Oven Thermometer
Now, you may be asking how a digital scale and thermometer are going to make gluten free baking easier. Let me tell you!
Weighing ingredients and measuring temperatures as you cook eliminates 99% of the guesswork of baking.
Never again will you have to worry about whether the bread is actually done or whether you’ve measured the flour correctly (because you know, measuring with cup measures is VERY imprecise). Â But, even when people know all of that, they still hesitate to buy the scale and thermometer. So, I’m just going to jump you right over any excuses you may have and give you a digital scale and thermometer.

Hear What Other’s Think
Dear Mary Frances,
Thanks for all you do for all of us who must eat gluten free! Your videos are amazing. Your recipes are for real people in the real world. You don’t include 12 exotic ingredients the average person does not have in their pantry, beyond the necessary gluten free ingredients. The cinnamon rolls alone are worth the price of the course! ~CelesteÂ
Dear Mary Frances,
Though I don’t always take the time to read your mails as soon as they come in, I have been following you. I have tried many of the GF Suppers that came with the first installment and found them to be yummy. Based on the “free” recipes, I have subscribed to your GF Cooking School. I am very pleased with the first class on biscuits…I had given up on ever enjoying the flaky, buttery goodness of biscuits with a hot bowl of stew and now I can! I like your format of video instructions and recipes. I am not a neophyte to GF cooking/baking, but I still need a little hand-holding from someone who has taken the time to research and experiment. Thank you. ~ Laura
Thanks so much for your timely and thorough response. I tried them again adding extra yeast and sugar and the full 6 oz of water. I got a good rise, but the dough was too loose to knead. I made the rolls by pinching off each roll and tossing lightly in sorghum flour. They definitely had the best texture and flavor so far. I also used 1 cup brown rice flour and 1 cup sorghum flour, instead of all of the same. Watching both the Thanksgiving and yeast roll videos helped immensely (multiple times I might add) It was helpful to see the different techniques. Thanks again, your cooking school helps me be brave enough to try new things 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Kimberly
