Lesson One: Gluten Free Flours & Flour Mixes
Hi everyone, welcome to Lesson 1 of GF Mess to Masterpiece! In this lesson, we’re going to be talking about gluten free flours. Here are three things that you can do to get the most out of this course.
First, as you’re listening to the videos, periodically stop and tell someone about what you’ve learned. Or if no one is around, just tell yourself. (No one’s around, right? So no one will see you talking to yourself. 🙂 ) This is called recitation, and it’s a much better way than note-taking for getting knowledge into your long term memory.
Second, do the assignments and post what you learn to the Facebook group. I have intentionally included assignments to get you into the kitchen this week, even though we’re not baking, and I think you’ll really enjoy these. But we’ll all learn exponentially more if you take pictures and post your notes to the group.
Third, ask lots and lots of questions! There is really no way to ask too many questions in a pilot course.
One last thing – there are several printables/handouts this week and it’s probably best to print those out before you start watching the videos as I reference several of them.
